11 years and a lil BLING!

Tim and I celebrated our 11th anniversary today. This is always such a busy week for us since we are getting ready for Connell's birthday, but we try really hard to sneak away for a dinner date. These occasions are just close together, you know, since I went into LABOR on our 7th anniversary and all! ;-) Wouldn't change a thing!

We got a babysitter and went out for a yummy dinner and then icecream afterwards. We haven't exchanged gifts since our very first anniversary. We just do a date night or a trip (ok, only have managed to do that for #1 and #5). However, this year, my sweet hubby surprised me with a gift. A really sparkly, lovely, gift. Diamonds really are a girls' best friend. These are mine.
**Items in this picture are bigger than the ones in my ears. Just saying! Don't want ya'll to think I am walking around with huge karats on my lobes. They are beautiful and perfect and I love them. **

Sound the siren!

We have been in party-prep mode all week...getting ready to celebrate Connell's 4TH birthday on Saturday. I wanted to share a picture of his cute invite...I ordered them on etsy this year and loved how it turned out. On Thursday, we took cupcakes to MDO for Connell's class. He was so excited!

Miss Amie (our neighbor and friend) works in the same office as Tim now so she joined us for cupcakes and lunch. Connell was so happy to see her. He has had a crush on her since birth ;-)

A sweet birthday girl! & some randomness

This is our sweet friend Chloe and she is 8 now! I just about melted when her momma told me that Chloe wanted Emma to come to her American Girl Doll birthday party. I mean, how sweet is that?!!
Poor Connell was left to search for BOY things to do and ate lots of party food! I think he had as much fun as anyone else! In ten years, I am sure he would love to be the only boy among so many girls! ;)

Girls and dolls. Look at pretty Reagan next to Emma. She is looking so grown up!

The Jacobs. So very blessed to have friends like this!

Coloring together

so thankful for washable markers. Emma colored for almost an hour and the clean-up was minimal.

Easter Weekend-tons of pictures!

We went to Memphis/Olive Branch for Easter weekend. We had a wonderful time with our families and did lots of fun things. Thus, the reason for the TONS of pictures I am about to post. Too many good ones to skip posting them all.

Connell and Emma trying out the Harley with GrandpaEmma and Grandma sweet smiles Connell caught about 15 fish during the weekend. He caught one with practically every cast!Emma wanted to check out the fishies too! I know that she is wearing a smocked dress while fishing, but she had worn it to a birthday party earlier in the day before we made our trip and she didn't want to take it off! She is such a girly girl.

After church we headed to Meme and Papa's for lunch. There really aren't any pictures because by this point are kids were worn out and crazy and we were just busy trying to keep them out of trouble. ;-) It was a lovely weekend and we are so happy to celebrate the risen Lord with our loved ones.

Mid-month misc!

Celebrating Daddy's birthday! My kids like to use the self-timer feature on the camera. Seems it's the only way they really LOOK at the camera - they like the flashing light! We enjoyed some lovely weather and spent a morning at the playground in our 'hood!

Love them.
