Sweet Visitor!

Last weekend, our friends Simone and Gary and sweet baby Alana came to visit. Alana is six months old and is just a happy, happy baby girl! Tim and I were interested to see how Connell would react to having a baby around...he did quite well. He kept wanting to give her kisses which was super cute...to everyone but Alana's Daddy! hahaha! He didn't mind sharing his highchair and some toys. Good practice for the future! :)

Going in for a kiss!

Pretty smile!

Does Alana look like she's ready for a ride around the kitchen?!?!?!?!

Merry Christmas, again...

Thanks for stopping by our blog today. I have a story I'd like to share!

I am going to back up a month, to Christmas Eve in the O'Leary household. Tim & I had agreed not to buy eachother anything for Christmas this year. However, when I got up on Christmas Eve morning, my stocking had fallen, and clearly there was something in it. I quickly told Tim he broke the rules since we weren't exchanging gifts. He assured me it was just something little and that he did NOT blow our budget. :) I felt bad, because I really had nothing at all to put in his stocking, and thought I'd have to run out on this cold, rainy morning and get a sleeve of golf balls. How original! Anyway, this is what was in my stocking...
Super cute! Tim got this from one of the my MOPS friends. She makes very cute gifts, for a very reasonable price! Let me know if you want her name!

The rest of the day was very busy for us...my Mom & Dad arrived around lunchtime, we were preparing food, and attending the Christmas Eve service at church. We had a wonderful day preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus, and all day, I was keeping a secret! Amazing. I am great at keeping secrets for other people. Not so much for myself. :)

So at almost midnite after everyone else was in bed, I told Tim that there was something in his stocking. This is what he found...

Sorry for the pics but I have to relay the true excitement...and you can never take just ONE test! :)

We are so excited to be expecting a baby brother or sister for Connell! And this little bit of news just made the beautiful season of Christmas even more wonderful for us and our families. We were able to share the news with the Grandparents on Christmas morning! This Christmas, we were celebrating 'gifts' with a very different meaning.

I am now about 8.5 weeks along. Tim went with me this morning for an ultrasound. We got to see our little baby, and see and hear 'its' heartbeat. Truly amazing! Here is a pic (our baby is a little bigger than a raspberry)!

Please join us in praying for our baby and for a safe, healthy pregnancy. I had it pretty easy when I was pregnant with Connell, so here's hoping! I am feeling pretty well so far aside from just being tired and queasy. Of course, I'll keep you posted on the blog. Thank you for sharing our excitement and for praying for our growing family!

**I should add....my due date is 9/3. It's gonna be a long, hot summer!

I don't like Winter.

This year, for some reason, I am finding this statement more true than years past. I am not sure why. Could it be possibly that I am a bit trapped in the house with a toddler?!?!?!? Don't get me wrong...we are having fun...building blocks, coloring, etc etc. He is constantly amazing me with new things he is doing...he is getting so good at eating with a spoon and fork. He 'pretends' alot, which is so cute. He still LOVES reading. One day last week, I read 16 books in a row. He just kept bringing them and was so enjoying our story time, I couldn't help but cherish that time together. That being said, I think both Connell and I are used to running around more than we have since this year began and we need an outing! :)

This past weekend, we did just that, with Daddy of course. Our outing consisted of Connell getting his hair cut (his 4th, I think), lunch, and getting the battery in my watch replaced. Woo hoo!

Wanna laugh today?

Look at these pictures & videos from over the weekend! Our friend Jordan celebrated her 12th Birthday with a DJ Dance Party. Connell and I went while Daddy was at a Predators Hockey game and had sooooo much fun dancing and partying!

Lazy, Rainy Days

We've had a lot of these lately...here's Daddy and Connell finding a way to pass away these winter days...

Yesterday since it was cold and yucky I took Connell to play indoors at the playroom at First Baptist. He is so fearless! He climbs to the very top!

New Year "Catch Up"

It's already the tenth day of the New Year, and I am already playing catch up with our blog. :) Oh well! I have actually been tackling some other projects...such as post-holidays house cleaning. But that's so boring....
After our very low-key New Year celebration (early dinner at Olive Garden and home by 7), we were excited to have a short visit from my brother Chris and his family (including Connell's adorable cousin Chandler). They were on their way back home (Austin) after lots of holiday travels. Our baby boys aren't babies anymore! Here's a few shots of them...we tried to get some of them together, but they are TOO busy!
Having a blast on the slide!

Cute cousins!
Chandler makes a funny face!
Speaking of Chandler, look at these cool blocks that he gave Connell for Christmas. Connell (and everyone else) is having SO much fun building!

Silly boy!
