Art Party

Our friend Chloe celebrated her 5th birthday with a fabulous art party. Her mommy (my friend, Heather) gets into parties as much (really more!) than I do! It's the fun details that makes us tick, right Heather? :)

The sweet birthday girl! Happy Birthday, Chloe! Thank you for inviting us to your party!

Go TIGERS!

While we were in town, we were able to go to a Memphis Tigers game. We had so much fun! Meme and Papa were out of town, but they were kind enough to share their tickets with us. My Dad got a few extras and we were all able to go. Uncle Chris was in town working and he came with us too. The Tigers won big, which made it all even better! Connell went to a game when he was about 18 months old, so this was his first game (that he remembers) and Emma's first too.

Emma and I sat with my Mom in their season ticket seats. The boys all sat together and with my zoom lens, I got a pretty cool pic of them.

Wow, look at little baby Connell! This was the beginning of Feb, 2009.
I was pregnant with Emma.

Children's Museum of Memphis

As many trips as we make to Memphis, this was our first time to take the kids to the Children's Museum. Gus joined us, and Connell and Emma were so glad to see him.

Lightning.

I am jumping right in. I know I am five months behind.

Connell has been sick this week. He has strep throat for the very first time. He will be five years old in three months. Unbelievable. He was really only super sickly for about 48 hours and is now feeling much better. Tonight we ran to get some mexican food for dinner and there was lightning in the sky. Connell said to Emma (while we were in the truck) "Emma, look at the lightning. That's the angels taking pictures of Jesus." Wow. Neither one of us have ever said that to him about lightning, although it is quite brilliant. Tim and I looked at each other, thinking that a teacher must have told him that. We asked him, and he quickly responded "God told me that, in my heart." Wow again.

I love being a parent. I love that it's equal parts craziness, fun, frustrating, and beautiful.
