MOPS Easter Egg Hunt

Monday morning we had our Egg Hunt with my MOPS (mothers of pre-schoolers) group. The morning started off a bit chilly, but it turned out to be a beautiful day for the festivities! Connell has been hunting eggs in our house for the past week, so he was ready to go! Before the hunt began, he enjoyed jumping in the bouncy house.

...are the greatest! I love love love this picture. If I had a desk at this "job", I would put this picture in a frame and stare at it all day. Saturday morning, Daddy and Connell were headed out on "man" errands...lowes, etc. Tim is always awesome about taking Connell with him so I can have a moment. This time it was so I could do my work. Anyway, they have a blast together, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Welcome to Miami...

Well, my husband was going to actually write a blog post (his idea) about his trip with his Dad to Miami...but somehow, now I don't see it ever getting done! So, this pic will have to do! They had a great time! Golf, food, beverages, & basketball...I'm surprised he wanted to come home!

Happy Spring weekend...

Spring began on Friday, and we had a lovely weekend! Tim left on Thursday evening to go on a golf trip to Miami with his Dad. He'll be home Monday morning. Connell and I are both really missing him.
Grandma and Grandpa came to spend the weekend with us. We had such a fun time! Saturday we shopped - a lot - for spring stuff...shoes for our growing boy, maternity for growing momma...baby gifts for the huge baby boom among our friends/family these next few months. We went to the Opry Mills Mall so that Connell could ride the train. He loved it, and said "CHOO CHOO" the rest of the day!

We cheered the Memphis Tigers to a huge victory over Maryland. Check out Connell's Tiger glasses. They actually belong to Grandma, and they have blue blinking lights. Connell thought they were the coolest thing ever!

It was so pretty outside so we spent a lot of time playing at the playgound. I have to admit, I loved the fact that there were some other "big people" around to help me chase Connell around. And of course, Connell LOVED having Grandma and Grandpa here.

Sweet Sound!

That's what Tim and I heard today at my doctor's appointment. No matter how many times I hear it, it's just the sweetest sound...the heartbeat of our little baby! I am about 15 weeks along now, and feeling so much better now that I am out of the first trimester. It's just like when I was pregnant with Connell...as soon as the end of that 12th week, I wake up feeling like a new person! SO NICE!!! I have energy again and I am not nauseated! I am sure that Tim and Connell are also enjoying having their more normal (if that's possible) wife and mommy back!

The excitement is building, and today we scheduled the ultrasound for Monday, April 6th. That's the day we will get a detailed look at this baby, as well as find out BOY or GIRL!!! We'll see if some of my friend's predictions are correct! :) We are very anxious for that appointment, and ask for your continued prayers for a healthy baby.

After hearing that heartbeat today, I am reminded of the verse that appears on the sweet gown that Grandma and Grandpa got for the new baby. Babies truly are a miracle!

I know it's supposed to be a bit cold again tomorrow, but I pray Spring is on its way to stay very soon. I am sick of cold weather, Connell is growing out of his winter clothes, and for that matter, so am I! Baby O'Leary update coming later this week...

What Connell loves...

Pooh, and his new truck! For several months now, Connell has been all about Winnie the Pooh. He says "Pooh" all the time! It occurred to me the other day that way back a long long time ago, Tim gave me a stuffed Pooh. I know - mushy & sweet (he's still that way) :) It's been in the attic and Tim got it down for Connell a few days ago. They are buddies!
Also, we purchased a used Yukon a couple of weeks ago. Connell loves it! He really enjoys being up higher than we were in my car. He sees everything better and waves at almost everyone we drive by. He likes to play in the truck too. We were all outside Saturday morning cleaning cars/sweeping the garage, etc since it was so nice out. Connell was enjoying 'driving' the truck!

The broom that MOOS!

Connell loves to sweep. Anywhere...inside, outside, other people's homes, Tim's office. He wears out the battery on my Shark vacuum but really likes just a plain old broom. My Mom told me that they had 'little' brooms for kids at Target. LOOK at this cute broom! Maybe if my broom looked like this it would make me want to sweep the floors.

Storytime at the Library

My friend Jennifer and I took our kids to the storytime at the new Gallatin Library yesterday. For a child that LOVES books, Connell wasn't very interested in listening to the stories. Oh well. Maybe next week. He did like the parachute game (music!) and enjoyed playing with puzzles and pulling numerous books off the shelf after storytime was finished. This group is going to grow this year as Jennifer is expecting baby boy Chase in May and of course, our new addition coming later this year! What a crew! :)

Connell has always loved bathtime; well, with the exception of the first few weeks of his life, but what newborn likes a bath??? I snapped some pictures the other night after Connell got out of the tub as Tim was trying to get him dried off and ready for bed. He is all smiles! And my goodness, he has a lot of teeth, finally!
