Friday Fun!

We had a playdate at our neighborhood playground today. The kids had so much fun playing and the weather was wonderful so the mommies/babies were comfortable on blankets under big trees. I made cupcakes for the kids and Connell (like all the other kids) licked off the icing and then went on playing. So guess who found his cupcake leftovers???

you know how nervous I get with this "big boy" climbing business??!!

Just this one time!

It's not okay for our sweet Emma to wear a string bikini...but just this once...oh my goodness! Aunt Kristy purchased this itty bitty bikini for our girl and I just have to share! (with her Daddy's permission, of course!)

The Big Screen

Our local theater runs older movies during the summer for FREE! Connell doesn't remember, but the summer after he turned 1, we went to see a Veggie Tales movie at the free movie festival. This week, Polar Express was showing, so we grabbed some friends and headed to the theater!

Well, it was crowded, so we ended up sitting on the second row. Not such a fun way to watch a movie. Connell got a little scared at certain parts of the the movie. I just think we were so close to the screen and it was SO loud - he wasn't so sure! He sat in my lap for about half of the movie, which truth be told, was really FINE with me. I take my cuddles however I can get 'em!

By the end of the movie, I got a smile and he said "that was fun!"

Our friend Jordan babysat Emma so we could have some Mommy/Connell time and we took Jordan's little brother, Jackson (Connell's buddy) with us! We are hoping to catch another movie before summer ends.

"Cold-Front" :)

Yesterday, a storm came through while the kids were napping and brought some milder temperatures. Not sure how long that will last, so after we had dinner, we headed outside since we could actually breathe!!!

We went to the playground and on the way back, Connell "shared" his ride with his baby sister. I don't know who was more excited...the passenger or the driver?! After a few minutes, Emma was clapping her hands and giving the biggest smiles ever. She kept turning around and seemed so happy that her brother was pushing her in the car. It was total sweetness! And the clapping is a new thing...she is getting to be such a big girl.

This isn't a great pic because I only had my phone. I will try to get a better one, and with a smile!
