Emma's Party - Fun Details

I know it's been 2 weeks but I am just now getting a chance to blog about Emma's first birthday party. I am going to split it up because there are so many sweet pics!
These are the details...the fun (happy) details that I truly enjoy planning/preparing. And as I mentioned before, I had the help (Mom, Shannon) of some CREATIVE minds...and the internet is loaded with awesome ideas!

I used Emma's monthly pictures for centerpieces...since we were going with a "sweet" theme, I made them into lollipops and put the age (months) on the back of each. Buckets and gumballs...easy and cute! Treats for the kids

Ah, so proud of the banner! It turned out so cute! And the tissue paper flowers...I loved them!

This was a huge hit! The kids were covered in paint and tattoos...sorry Mommies! :) Easy and cute idea - found online! Connell helped make this one! And ate LOTS of them...

September So Far

Connell & his buddy Jackson - we have a dinner date with them once a week. I imagine one day these boys will think it's dumb to hang out with their parents.
Apparently, your artwork is better if you do it with your big boy pants inside-out :)
Little laptops
"Helping" me clean up Emma's room/organize toys/clothes. or something like that.
A cute girl modeling ridiculously cute hats given to her for her birthday.

Give me my breakfast. (who wakes up this pretty, really?!)

Labor Day Weekend...goodbye summer :(

It's a happy and sad thing to see summer go...I am really ready for FALL, but summer went by way too fast!

The Jacobs took us boating on Saturday for several hours. This was the second time this summer and our kids really had a blast! Next summer will be even more fun...

Connell was thrilled to "surf" with Mr. Chad! He said next time he wants to do it by himself.

Almost asleep on the ride back to the dock

Bye Bye Bottles

(hang with me as I, once again, play catch up with this blog:)

Wonder who was crying as we gave Emma her last nighttime bottle a few days before her birthday? I was sad as it was, and then Connell decided to turn on his "super sweet brother" switch and he wanted to feed her the bottle. Not much to say. It was just beautiful. She is growing into a toddler and her brother, well, he's growing up.
