On the road again...

We drove home from Gulf Shores on Wednesday, and tonight, we are flying to Austin, TX for our nephew, Chandler's, first birthday party! We are tired, but excited! Here is a picture from our last night at the beach, and I will post a slideshow when we are finally home for longer than 24 hours...

Back at the Beach...

We are back at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores until Wednesday with Tim's family. Connell is definitely feeling up to par, and is keeping everyone on their toes and laughing! Check out our cool little dude in these shades... :)

Elmo and Friends!

This morning we went back to see Dr. Patterson so she could recheck Connell's ears, etc before we leave on vacation. Plus he had a rash show up today...who knows! She said his ears are better and she wasn't concerned about the rash. He does have several teeth working their way in, so I think that's the reason he's still not completely "Connell" yet. But he's better! So much better, in fact, that he had his friend Julianna and her baby sister over to try out the Elmo sprinkler he got for his birthday. It was such fun!

Just because he doesn't feel well...

...does not mean Connell has lost his sense of adventure.

This week...

Well, it's been a week of ups and downs...On the upside, look at the picture above. I know, I know, it's nerdy to take a picture of a picture. However, we picked up Connell's First Year panel from our photographer this week, and wow! It's awesome! For whatever reason my 'cry-at-the-drop-of-a-hat' gene is working overtime lately, and of course, looking at these pictures and thinking about how this year has flown by made me cry. Thinking that we get a rest for a while from paying the photographer made me smile! :)

On the downside, here's a picture of my pitiful baby boy asleep in my arms. Those who know Connell know that he LOVES to be sprawled out in his bed. What I thought was terrible teething led to a visit to the pediatrician today and discovered Connell has his first ear infection. Again, is there some medicine for the Mommy too??? Yep, I cried again. Oh well. :(

My Birthday!

To help me celebrate my 31st (!) birthday, Tim planned a little get together on Memorial Day (my b'day was Tues). Our friends came over and we had bbq and lots of yummy side dishes. The highlight, of course, was the triple fudge chocolate cake from Dawson's Bakery!!! As you can see, Connell loves it too!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Connell went on his first "big boy" boat ride! He was on the boat last summer, but he was just a tiny baby. This was the first time he wore his life jacket. We went to the Gallatin Marina for breakfast with The Roses, Jacobs, and the newlywed Cornells. It was so much fun!
