18 Months, already!!!

Emma turned 18 months old this week. It's hard to keep up with her, in more ways than one! Time is just flying by, and Emma is B.U.S.Y.

First, we'll start with her vital statistics. I am going to back up, because I am pretty sure (slacker) that I failed to blog her 15 month checkup details, so we'll start there:

15 months (beg of Dec)...31 inches and 22 lbs.
Now, 18 months...she is 32 inches and 23 lbs 13 oz. Our pediatrician says she is "perfect" and we agree. Statisitically, she is just right with her percentiles. She is hitting and exceeding every milestone that she should be. She amazes us everyday and we love her to pieces!

She was a little under the weather for her 18 month checkup. We thought she might have an ear infection, but she didn't. Just lots of drainage (she is getting more and more teeth all the time - check out the picture) and a low fever. You wouldn't know it by looking at this picture. She was all smiles and actually kept me entertained while we waited.
a few more recent pics of Emma...from my cellphone so not great but her cuteness shines thru!
modeling a new spring dress...she loves to try on clothes!

What happens in a year

this. Look at these little cuties, holding hands, already best buddies!

Oh Boy

Connell is ALL boy. I guess that's a silly thing to say. He is a boy, afterall. Knowing this, I shouldn't have been surprised when he actually tried to climb on top of the "fort" I built in his room earlier this week. Really. Crash. Emma was napping and I was about to take a 3 minute shower. I am glad that I was only in the kitchen when I heard the crash and the cry. Poor little man. He got on the bed and attempted to climb onto the "roof" of the fort. He fell to the floor and landed on his back on a wooden puzzle box. Ouch. He, of course, got lots of TLC and a lecture. ALL boy.

Here is my boy in safe mode! ha!

Later that day...

...after the chips were all cleaned up...it got really quiet in my house. Sometimes, although quiet is nice, it's not always a good sign. But when I walked over to the kids' rooms to check it out, this is what I found. Sibling sweetness. Sigh of relief and grab the camera!

They are a MESS

Happy Monday to me!!! This is what happens when a Mommy tries to carry on a brief phone conversation with a friend. Emma gains entry to the pantry and removes 2 bags of chips. She then dumps them on the floor and eats a few. Connell sweeps them all around the floor, not really cleaning up...more just spreading greasiness around! Oh it's a good thing they are so cute...!!!
