Birthday Fun (part 1)

Grandma and Grandpa arrived this evening to help us celebrate Connell's birthday. We were experiencing lovely spring weather (truly the calm before THE storm to come) which worked out perfectly since they brought Connell a bicycle for his birthday. He was so excited and anxious to get riding right away.

Just adding this to give props to my hubby for having our yard looking so nice this spring! I cannot even take ANY of the credit. He is the yardboy! ;)

On Thursday, we brought cupcakes to the birthday boy at MDO. Connell was so excited that we were there, especially his Daddy!

When it began...

April 29, 2000...I married the best man I have ever known (aside from my Dad)! ;) I am blessed to be on this journey with you, Tim. You are a wonderful husband and father and friend. A girl can't ask for any more than that!

My Boy!

Connell had spring pictures at MDO on Tuesday. Since I know how these things tend to go :) I always make sure to snap a pic (or 15) of my own just in case my cooperative child doesn't cooperate!

Today, we made cupcakes for my "superstar" to share with his friends at MDO tomorrow to kickoff the birthday festivities!

Green Thumb

The Easter Bunny brought this neat Veggie Tales garden for Connell so he could plant some seeds and watch them grow. We planted them last Friday, and now they have sprouted. Connell tells them everyday "grow flowders, grow flowders grow!" It's so cute! Soon, we will transplant them into a pot to go outside.

Chloe's Turn at the Birthday Fun!

We have a lot of April birthdays! Seems we have been doing a LOT of partying! It's been such fun! Connell now understands that he is next, and he is pumped. Everything is tied to his "birfday pawty" - I hope it lives up to his expectations!
Chloe turned 7 and had a fabulous red carpet movie party! Connell had a blast hanging with the girls, and so did Emma!

LOL!!!

It's a good thing God made toddlers as funny as they are frustrating! Case in point - just put Connell in his art shirt (Daddy's old white tshirt) for some morning painting. Connell says "I'm a Jesus." Took me a few seconds "oh yes, Connell, because you are wearing a white robe like Jesus." "Yep."

Weekend Fun for Everyone!

We had yet another fun-filled weekend. Friday evening we went to Jackson's party to celebrate his 4th birthday! It was a lot of fun, and Connell had a blast!

When we made it home, Grandma and Grandpa were there waiting on us! They were nice enough to come babysit for us so we could have an outing Saturday night. Tim's brother Patrick had got us all tickets to a comedy club to see a comedian we love. We went to dinner first and then headed to the club. It was hilarious (although not P.C. or for little ears :)! It was great to be out and relaxed and not have to think if the kiddos were okay. I know for a fact they had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa!

We also had some playtime outside and grilled a yummy lunch on Sunday afternoon before Grandma and Grandpa had to head home. Connell already started on Saturday telling them "you not go home."

Great Outdoors

I am getting nothing done in the evenings, but I am enjoying every minute of being outside with my family! We have been taking lots of walks, playing at the playground and tonight, Connell and Tim took our new bike trailer on it's first spin around the neighborhood.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery! ha! Connell loves to imitate his baby sister. I am not creative enough; Tim came up with "emmatate"!

Guess who has the next birthday in our family?

I can hardly believe that in a few short weeks, Connell will turn 3! He is having a "choo choo" birthday party and we used the first picture on the invitation. What a cute lil engineer!
