Sweet Emma!

Emma will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. It is hard to believe, but at the same time, I can tell it's been 6 weeks because so much change has happened in our home and lives. It was a little rough in the beginning (I can't lie!) but as everyone kept telling me, it has gotten better. And most importantly, Emma is doing well and growing by the minute! She is holding her head up, making sweet cooing sounds, and all kinds of other *interesting* sounds that her brother and Daddy find very amusing. I'll have to teach her "lady" manners later! She is getting so big, we just promoted her to size 1 diapers. Overall, she is a happy baby and we couldn't be any happier that she has joined our family! Fall Picture Day

Connell had Fall pictures made at Mother's Day Out today. I don't know yet how the pictures turned out, but I took a few of my own this morning just to capture the cuteness that is Connell!

It's hard to believe he is almost two and a half!

In the meantime, Emma is starting to try out her new Baby Einstein playmat...this is a rare moment that she isn't having to share it with her brother!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went with our friends, the Earls, to a pumpkin patch called Bottomview Farms. We actually took Connell there when he was six months old. After our trip today, I was looking at those pictures of our little pumpkin...wow...how things have changed!

It was a truly beautiful day, and it was Amber's birthday! After the pumpkin patch, we enjoyed some yummy mexican food while watching the end of the exciting Notre Dame football game. Go Irish! These will be the only pics you see of Emma from the pumpkin patch...she slept thru the whole outing!

Our Girl is One Month Old!

It's hard to believe Emma has already been here a month! The month of September has come and gone and now Fall is upon us! I am looking forward to strolling the BIG double stroller around outside and enjoying this weather.

During Connell's first year, on his monthly "birthday" I would put him in his green chair and take a picture so I could watch him grow. I am doing the same thing with Emma! Here is the one month pic - and just for fun - I'm posting both my babies!

Birthday Bash!

We have a lot of September birthdays in our family. This year, one of them was a milestone. Grandpa (my Dad) turned 60! Sorry Dad - blabbing your age on the blog. But you are an awesome 60! This past weekend, we had the family in town to celebrate. My brother and sister-in-law and Chandler came from Asheville and my Aunt and Uncle flew in from Milwaukee. We had the most fun! Of course, it's a little hectic with 2 two year olds and a newborn in the house, but we had lots of adults to offset the craziness! We were also celebrating LisaMarie and Mom's birthdays too!
